The Dan River Basin Association works to: preserve the river corridor with a series of municipal, county, and state parks and trails; increase public access to rivers; build constituency for the rivers and outdoor recreation through monthly outings; protect water quality by instituting stream monitoring across the Basin; promote regional nature and heritage tourism; and bridge boundaries to create a bi-state borderland community.


Delta County RCD – Delta County, MI

The Delta Conservation District is a “unique” local unit of Government, which utilizes state, federal and private sector resources to solve today’s conservation problems. The guiding philosophy of the Delta Conservation District is that decisions on conservation issues should be made at the local level, by local people, with technical assistance provided by government. Conservation Districts are referred to as “gateways” in our local community. We provide linkages between land managers and a host of conservation service providers that include state, federal and local governments, conservation organizations, and Internet resources.


Mattole Restoration Council – Humboldt County, CA

The objectives and purpose of the Mattole Restoration Council are the restoration of natural systems in the Mattole River Watershed and their maintenance at sustainable levels of health and productivity, especially in regards to forests, fisheries, soil, and other plant and animal communities.
