Our
Mission
The Model Forest Policy Program is a non-profit, educational organization
whose mission is to promote sustainable forests thru profitable,
ecological forestry practice and policy. Our unique approach focuses
on developing government policy that addresses the practical needs
of all key constituents; local and state government leaders (policy
makers), concerned citizens, landowners and traditional and alternative
forest products businesses. We provide policy-making tools (recommended
language and tool kit, expertise, supportive material, network
building, and training) that are based on sound, scientifically
verified and economically viable solutions already tested in the
industry.
MFPP is committed to ensuring forests for future generations
by creating strong policies that reinforce stewardship of private
forestland. We provide decision-makers, citizens, loggers and advocacy
groups with…
